Project Overview
Fostering Virtual Collaboration in Education
The EUGEN project aimed for the Ludwigsburg University of Education and its international partner to further develop their existing collaboration. With this project, virtual collaboration formats are to be integrated into the courses on the education system and schools, as well as educational science research. There were also plans to anchor these courses in the curriculum.

Research on Educational Systems and Education 4.0
With the focus on Research on Educational Systems and Global Competencies And Education 4.0, the cooperation partners continued the cooperation begun with the DIVA project but set new content-related, formal, and methodological priorities. In this way, the established collaboration formats could be used, further developed, and secured in the long term in the new Community of Practice.
Applications in Teaching and Research
Innovative Use of Digital and Intercultural Skills
As part of the new EUGEN project, students and lecturers are applying the digital and intercultural skills they have developed at the semester course level and taking them forward innovatively regarding content and methodology. If intercultural skills were acquired in DIVA, they could be applied with EUGEN, reflected in an international comparison, and at the same time further developed for the intercultural professionalization of future German and Australian teachers.
Virtual Collaboration for Diverse Learning Needs
In terms of equal opportunities, the virtual cooperation formats enabled students and teachers to gain international experience that could be used in different formats and thus offered a variety of approaches to personal inclusion for the various learning types and life situations of the participants

Flexible Formats
Synchronous and asynchronous events to suit diverse schedules.

Interactive Activities
Collective assignments, group presentations, and lecture series.

Innovative Tools
Digital artifacts, community building, and gaming approaches like Action Bound.
